Rare and collectible Mexican made showstopper full skirt by the iconic London Boutique Mexicana on Sloane Street, founded by fashion illustrator Alfredo Bouret in the 60s, and famous for it's traditional Mexican artistry. Bouret had a long history in fashion, having illustrated designs for Balmain, Balenciaga, and Chanel, as well as Vogue. I always love the Mexicana pieces, beautifully made in lavish amounts of fabrics and rich colours, with classic pintucked cotton and lace. This one is a really specially piece, the colourblocked rainbow tiers are just spectacular - so vibrant and so fun. Pin tucked cotton which gives this a beautifull heavy drape and a full circle sweep with a generous midi length. Wide fitted waistband which fastens with hooks and a metal zip. Unlined. Comes with a matching green sash, also labeled, which is perfect for wearing as belt, shawl or headscarf.
Skirt is pictured with a petticoat which is not included in the sale.

CONDITION
Very good condition. A couple of small marks, see photos, I've not had this dry cleaned, but it is sooo full, I think it isn't easily noticeable. and so small.
