Amazing - truly luminous shade of red - 70s coat by WM Hengerer, a renowned department store in Buffalo, New York from about 1889 through to the mid 80s. It's a fanastic piece, bold and bright with gold shank buttons which give is a slightly military flare. Cape fastens with four buttons to the side of the neck and two hidden popper fastener to the collar. It has pockets on the front panel below the waist and open slits for the arms. Matching tie belt which hungs the front panel in and gives this an at once fitted and dramatic sweeping back. Fairly lightweight and fully lined in a synthetic. Approx 70s era.
SIZE
Not labeled with a size but fits approx like a M-L, I think this could suit anywhere from a UK10 to a UK16, I would estimate, but for your best fit please refer to the measurements.
Fit on model: as shown
Coat is 30" long from nape to hem
Approx 60" around the front/bust - I would estimate to best fit a 36-40” bust
Front panel measures 19" across from arm opening to arm opening
Approx 16" from shoulder to shoulder
CONDITION
Very good condition. There is a tiny tiny spot of wear on the front between the pockets, see photo.
