Beautiful 40s/50s Spanish? Madeira style dress in a silky black rayon fabric, beautifully soft and quite weighty so falls and drapes very nicely. This is embroidered with a floral motifs around the skirt and bust and decorative patterning to the hem and neckline in yellow and white with soutache. Bodice is blousey with a wide rounded neck with scalloped edging. Waist has softly elasticated sides for nipped in silhouette and the skirt is a generous a-line full fit. Side seam fastens with a short metal zip. No labels, just a small size tag, 44, to the neck.
Dress is pictured with a petticoat which is not included in the sale.

CONDITION
Good condition with some light signs of wear. Some small signs of wear to embroidery, some minor fuzz to the yarn and the odd loose thread, but it's all pretty minor. One tiny little scuff on the shoulder and a few small scuffs in the skirt, see photos. Some very slight sheen to the fabric. Small seam repair to the top of the zip, not noticeable when worn. Priced to reflect.
