50s handmade day / tea dress in what feels like a soft brushed rayon. Lovely deep blue colour with a white scarf style print of floral motifs and dots. This has a printed border design, which has been used to the top of the bust/shoulders and around the border of the skirt - really beautifully. Fitted bodice with slashed neck and sleeveless arms. Cinched in waistline with side metal zipper to fasten. Gently flowing skirt sewn in very neat inchwide pleats to the waistband. Generous midi length. No labels.
Dress is pictured with a petticoat which is not included in the sale.

CONDITION
Good condition. Discreet repair/reinforced stitching to the bottom of the arm holes, not really noticeable, but a slight point of straining to be aware of. Also some very minor strain wear to the corners of the neckline, again very slight. Very faint discoloration to the underarms and very slightly to a couple of the areas of the print on the lower part of the front bodice. I don't think this is particularly noticeable or detracts when worn. The print is quite forgiving and it is very slight.
