40s BLUE AND YELLOW FLORAL BUTTON THROUGH ROBE DRESS - S
Beautiful light blue, grey and yellow painterly floral print maxi dress from the late 40s / early 50s. Crisp cotton with a lovely flowing length and buttoning all the way through the front with ten big blue 2-hole buttons. High neck with small collar. Long sleeve with big turn up to the cuff. Skirt is approx ankle length, depends slightly on your height of course, and has a generous fullness with box pleats sewn in to the waist at either side of the placket. Slot pockets concealed in the hip seam. Matching belt. One of those elegant vintage pieces that may have been a robe dress or house gown originally, but wears beautifully well as a day dress or even cocktail wear in the modern times. No makers labels.
Dress is pictured both with a without a petticoat but this is not included in the sale.
