Sweet little 50s St Michael day dress in a lovely autumnal brown with a small geometric print in black and turquoise and white. Shirtwaister style with six small buttons to fasten the chest and a high collared neck. Half length sleeve with turn up cuff. Bodice has small gathers along the shoulder seam to give slight fullness and movement to the bust. Waist is fitted and skirt is very full, sewn in wide box pleats. A short single tier design to the hem. Fabric feels similar to cotton in weight and fall, but I think it is a soft rayon.
Dress is pictured with a petticoat which is not included in the sale.
The dress is labeled to fit a 36" chest and 38" hip but as it has been altered this no longer applies, I would estimate approx to fits an XS. For your best fit please refer to the measurements.
Chest: 33" to 34" taut

CONDITION
Good condition.
-Some small signs of alterations, mainly just visible internally: Side seams have been taken in slightly and hem taken up and a short tier handsewn in to the lower hem, but as the hem is uncut and the tier could be unpicked this could be let back down.
-Some slight signs of wear/scuffs in the fabric mainly along the seams. See photos.
-One tiny tiny spot below the top button, see photo.
-No belt.
