70s black and white crepe dress by Bus Stop, sadly missing the original label (but quite a few examples of this in different colourways online, I've included a couple of screenshots). Moss crepe in black with white piping and buttons and peekaboo backing for contrast. Slim fitting silhouette with a curved hemline and buttoning all the way through the front. Collarless v-neck and short cut out sleeves with tie cuffs. As is often the case with 70s designs from this era, the patterning is really fun and creative with unusual and experimental cuts - the circular/curved side seams on this, as well as the hi-low hemming and overlapping sleeve shoulders are all testament to the fresh look at tailoring of this era and I loooove it.
Dress is pictured with a petticoat which is not included in the sale.
SIZE
The dress is not labeled with a size but fits approx like an XS. For your best fit please refer to the measurements.
Fit on model: as shown, but much too small in the bust to fit comfortably
Chest: 31"
Underbust: 28"
Waist: 26"
Hip: 35"
Shoulder to natural waist: approx 14.5"
Shoulder seam to shoulder seam: 13"
Length: 51" at front and 52" at the back
CONDITION
Very good condition. A couple of the buttons are a little bit worn, one has a tiny fray on it, the other one has the backing to the shank a little bit askew, but this is nothing that detracts much when worn.
-One tiny darned pin hole on the neck.
-One faint smudge on the side of the skirt.
Label is missing, and I have priced this at about a 1/3 of the price of a labeled piece.
