Late 30s handmade crinkle texture rayon dress in lovely deep shade of green with a jaquard type spot pattern. High square neck with long bishop sleeves, slightly draped just above the cuff and fastened with small popper buttons. Nicely panelled bodice with a curved shoulder seam and a dipped V-waistline. Gored and gently flared midi skirt. No fasteners, this pulls over the head and can be cinched in with the satin tie belt. Four small covered buttons and threaded loops to the back of the neck. No labels, most likely a handtailored piece.
SIZE
The dress is not labeled with a size but fits approx like a S. For your best fit please refer to the measurements.
NB. There are no fasteners on this so it has to pull over the head, so do err on the side of caution with the measurements. I would advice leaving a few inches of room for ease of dressing in the bust and waist.

CONDITION
Good condition.
-Missing the original belt. Previous owner have added a matching ribbon tie.
-One tiny darn on the bust. See photo. One small machine line repair to the back hip, see photo.
-Some marks, a few small faint orange spots on front of bust and a larger area of discolouration to the front of the waistband.
-The crinkle effect to the fabric has smoothened out somewhat at the underarms, not particularly noticeable when worn.
-Ball buttons and loops to the back of the neck shows a bit of wear. Some fraying to the fabric cover on one of the buttons.
-Bit of seam straining to some seams, pretty slight and I think mainly to centre back seam at hips. See photo.
-I suspect this may have been rehemmed. I wonder if it was originally floor length? but length is still a good generous midi length, so works well. Hem is finished with a running stitch.
Very much priced to reflect condition.
