This is so timeless and elegant, reminds me a bit of both Molly Goddard and Selkie with it's lush ruffles, empire bust and floaty chiffon, but original 70s Jean Varon. Lovely rich chestnut brown coloured outer chiffon fabric and lined in a russet toned brown synthetic. High empire underbust with fitted bustline, sleeveless design and a dramatic ruffled scooped U-neck in front. The back is even lower cut with ruffles around the edge and a tie strap to the back of the neck to keep straps from sliding down. Skirt falls freely in small gathers from underbust down with a soft frothy sweep that gives such a dreamy modern silhouette. Back metal zipper to fasten. A showstopper!

The dress is labeled a size 12 but fits approx like a modern day XS/S, approx a UK8. For your best fit please refer to the measurements.

CONDITION
Very good condition.
-Lining has some water outline marks, see photos. When worn they can't be seen as they are to the lining only. Underarm lining has some small fade spots/discolouration. A couple of mark to the outer chiffon, see photos, but all in all not very easy to see when worn, due to the drape and fall and the nature of the semi-sheer chiffon.
-Small darts have been added to the underarms by previous owner to take these in slightly.
-A few small snags in the skirt chiffon.
-One small burn hole to the edge of the hem.
-Zipper is a little bit slippy but works perfectly fine when hook and eye is done up.
