Now this print is just such a showstopper! 50s inspired dress made in a limited V&A reprint of "Legs" by Jane Wealleans, produced by OK Textiles in 1973. Definitely fairly contemporary make, but such a fun fusion of 70s whimsicality and 50s flare. Fabric feels like a thicker cotton blend with a little bit of give in a soft cream with a repeated print of legs with stockings and bright red high heels. Bodice is sleeveless and bias cut with a deep v-neck to front and back and three decorative red buttons to the chest. Waistband is very subtly dropped and the skirt is very full sewn in narrow gathers with a big sweep. Side nylon zip to fasten. Unlined. No labels. Most likely handmade, but professionally so.
Dress is pictured with a petticoat which is not included in the sale.
