Delicate nylon chiffon nightgown / lounge slip in sheer pastel peach/pink. Lovely lace trimmed v-neck shoulders and bust with small embroidered flowers and leaves edging the chiffon. Fitted waist with attached tie belt. Floor length skirt which lace trimmed hem and bias cut. Hemline is very softly scalloped with a thin piping back. Fabric feels like a light nylon chiffon, feels quite high quality, not slightly chiffon crepe like in texture. Label is Saab Lingerie, Stockholm. A nicely made piece with what looks like handsewn frenc seams internally, the little appliques also looks handdone. Googling the label, I think this is maybe 1960s era, but the style is very similar to 40s bias cut slips, and very much looks the part.
SIZE
The slip is labeled a size 32 but fits approx like a XS, as it has no fasteners and not much stretch in the waistband it is quite tight to get into so I would advice for smaller than measurements stated, as it can be cinched in with the tie straps . For your best fit please refer to the measurements.
Fit on model: as shown, but was very snug to get into, would advice for smaller at least in shoulders and bust
Chest: 32" (stretches to 34" taut, and has some fullness in the bust, but I would advice for a 32" chest due to this being quite snug to get into)
Underbust: 28" (stretches to 30" taut but would best fit 28" or smaller)
Waist: 26" (stretches to 28" taut but this would really best fit 26" or smaller)
Hip: up to 44" but best fit smaller
Shoulder to underbust: 13" (will shorten when worn as the bias stretches on the width)
Shoulder to waist: 16" (will shorten when worn as the bias stretches on the width)
Length: 61" (due to the bias cut this will fit a bit shorter when worn as it stretches on the width, but fits me just above floorlenght)
CONDITION
Good condition. Some small signs of wear. A few tiny holes in the lace. A couple of snags in the chiffon to the skirt. Two very faint marks to the back of the skirt, I've spot treated these 3 times and they have reduced significantly, so may well come out eventually, I think they are not faint enough not to be overly noticeable when worn.
