Lovely 50s cotton day dress in a colourful and fun folky traditional floral and geometric patterned design in blue, red, green and yellow, design in bands of red and white. Fitted bodice with pleats sewn in to the shoulders and the front of the bodice sewn with the fabric subtly curved to the side seams to give it a slightly draped fit with movement to it. Fitted waistband with side metal zipper. Full skirt sewn in inchwide pleats. No makers labels, just a small size tag to back of neck.
Dress is pictured with a petticoat which is not included in the sale.

The dress is labeled a size 40 but fits approx like a Small. For your best fit please refer to the measurements.

Chest: 37" (I think this would best suit 34-35" - the way the shoulder is pleated and the bodice constructed with the fabric slightly curved to the side seams to create drape and movement, this need a little bit of room)

(There is a 3" hem on this that could be easily restored back down, feels like original hem is intact underneath so just a matter of unpicking if desired)
CONDITION
Good condition. Some faint underarm discolouration, quite hard to spot with the busy print. Also some slight slight discolouration to the upper bodice, to faint to really show in photos and not obvious when worn. You can see it if comparing the skirt fabric to that of the bodice, but when worn, it's hard to spot.
