Lovely tailor made 40s style dress in a beautiful heavier dusky blue autumn/winter dress. Designed in contasting panelling of different texture, but all in thes same shade of cornflower blue. Bodice is fitted with a high collarless neck and slightly curved placket with three huge brown buttons. Strong padded shoulder with slightly puffed 3/4 sleeve. Fitted waist with sewn in darts and a matching snap buttoned waist belt. Gored bias cut a-line midi skirt with a big patch pocket to one side. Side metal YKK branded zip to fasten. Nice soft fabric, feels a blend of rayons and cotton and synthetics. Bodice and skirt has slight give to it, whereas the sleeves and pockets are non-stretch. Original tailored one of a kind reproduction, most likely made from an original 40s pattern. Looks beautifully true to era, and such an elegant versatile piece for the colder season.
